Lanier Middle School

Delivery: Design/Bid/Build

Lanier Middle School recently endured a massive $33 million renovation and addition to the existing facility.  Dustin worked closely with the design team on this project as it was value engineered in order to provide a quality school at a better price.  This 117,684 SF total renovation and 57,888 SF addition designed by Architecture, Inc. required extensive interior demolition and re-working of spaces.  The facility includes newly renovated classrooms and locker rooms, a new cafeteria, technology education wing, and gymnasium as well as a track and soccer field.  Since the school was occupied, much of the work was done at night and on the weekends.  One of the challenges to this project included the parking accessibility; one lot in particular required a large retaining wall that was brought in from off-site. Lanier Middle School prides itself on rigorous academic instruction in a nurturing and encouraging environment.  Notably, Dustin crews worked diligently with school officials to ensure the students’ learning and social environments were not disrupted during construction.
