Dustin managed 18 prime contractors for this project. Joppatowne Elementary School is a one-story, sprawling building in a suburban community whose renovations and additions started in June of 2007 and were complete by August 2009.  There were four major phases to accommodate the students who occupied the building. Three portables were employed while the new construction was taking place. The construction included 28,466 SF of renovated area and three new additions totaling 33,466 SF. Along with new classroom configurations and space allocations, all new water, sewer, heating, air conditioning, and electrical systems were provided in the renovated area. Occupancy sensors control the lighting of the rooms and automatic faucet controls adorn lavatory sinks. Technological features include LCD projectors, flat-panel televisions, interactive white boards, a television studio, document cameras and a computer lab. The green features incorporated during construction and within the building made this project LEED Certified with the USGBC.
