DC Summer Blitz 2008 - Ellington, Cardozo, and Banneker

All three DC Schools required pre-construction and construction services for modifications of the existing school.
The scope of work for Duke Ellington School of the Arts included miscellaneous site work, roof work, patchwork, interior and exterior painting and new flooring finishes. Rough and finish carpentry, complete bathroom and dressing room renovations, stage finishes, additional HVAC and electrical modifications were also completed in attempts to ensure that students of Ellington are able to reach their full potential and artfully express their various talents. Also included were cafeteria renovations, new lockers, and freight elevator replacement.
The scope of work for Banneker Academic High School’s included miscellaneous sitework, rooftwork, patchwork, painting, new flooring finishes, rough and finish carpentry, complete bathroom renovations, additional HVAC, and electrical modifications. Because Banneker cultivates a rigorous academic program where students participate in highly structured lessons and instruction, it was necessary to include upgrades in technology to ensure academic success. Renovations to the existing and additional computer rooms included new computers, tel/data and furniture as required.
The scope of work for Cardozo Senior High School included miscellaneous site work, roof work, patchwork, painting, new flooring finishes, rough and finish carpentry, complete bathroom renovations, additional HVAC, and electrical modifications. As a school that houses trade and technological academies, a focus on technology is necessary, and therefore, the scope of work also included renovations to the existing computer rooms including new computers, tel/data and furniture as required.
